marigold tablecoth

This is a tablecloth I made this morning and decided to photograph while setting the table for breakfast. I used the organic cotton Marigold Persimmon. The width was perfect for our table, so I needed two meters of the fabric and only had to hem the two short sides. Easy and painless, just the way I like projects to be. Have a nice Sunday!

wire hanger covers

Here is a simple but great idea, and those are the best aren't they! This is an easy to follow and easy to make tutorial for a wire hanger cover seen at design*sponge. Wire hangers basically make me crazy, they get all crazy and tangled in your closet and then to top it off, clothing doesn't even stay on them. On the other hand they are out there and I always feel guilty just throwing them away, just filling up our landfills with more stuff... so this idea of a simple cloth cover for these nasty hangers is a perfect solution. The tutorial can be found here.

rebecca's quilt

Rebecca is part of the UK "Sew" magazine team. She handles the advertising and she is such a sweetheart I bet she could get someone who isn't even interested in sewing to advertise with them, yes she is that good and that sincere about what she does. Anyway the photos above are of Rebecca's first quilt for her niece and I think she did a fab job! Sew Mag by the way is a great magazine full of inspirational projects and free patterns so if you aren't familiar with it go here and check it out! Thanks for the pics , Rebecca!

laura contemori

Pictured above are great softies by Laura Contemori. Laura sent me the pic of the whale and a link to her blog which I then visited. There I found the link to her etsy shop where I found this fab Mokka machine! I have been using one of these to make my morning coffee for the past 30 years. About two months ago I actually bought a fancy coffee maker, you know espresso, steamed milk etc....it worked for about a week and was sent back to the manufacturer so here I am once again using my dependable Mokka machine! These are great, Laura!

tara books

The images above are fabulous cards and baby posters that are available at tara books. Tara books offers beautiful Indian children's books, design & art books, cards and art prints.I absolutely love these "Bad Habits" cards.

erin michael

Fabrics from Erin Michael's newest sock monkey collection "Good Night Monkey" are in.
I have long had a sock monkey of my own, so these fabrics were irresistable to me!
I think these could make really sweet children's lounge wear, the Oliver&S Bedtime Story Pajamas sewn with these fabrics could be alot of fun.
