A wee one in our family is celebrating her first birthday this week and I just finished sewing her birthday gift....a fuzzy bunny wearing a smock and a matching smock for the bday girl. I found this adorable bunny and bunny smock pattern by allsorts. I changed a few things, no small bits that can be pulled off and swallowed for example, but the tutorials are everything a tutorial should be!
Ein kleines Familienmitglied wird am Mittwoch 1 Jahr alt und ihre Geburtstagsgeschenk habe ich gerade zu Ende genäht...ein flauschiges Häschen mit Kittel und ein Kittel für das Geburtstagskind. Das Häschen und Häschen Kleid habe ich bei allsorts gefunden. Die Anleitungen sind auf englisch aber für jede Schritt gibt es ein Foto, insofern total einfach zu folgen.
Jetzt muss ich mein Nähzimmer aufräumen, unglaublich was ich für ein Chaos angerichtete habe um die zwei kleine Geschenke zu nähen....

jenean morrison "wild world"

Pictured above are fabrics from Jenean Morrison's latest collection for Free Spirit "Wild World". I love unusual colorways and really like the palette of colors she uses here....peach, grey, taupe, yellow and olive being the main colors. Jenean has a wonderful blog, full of visual inspiration, so I thought I would stop by and see what she might have done with these fabrics...well, she did indeed have several ideas....you could cover your bike or your guitar, make a lamp or go the more conventional route of sewing a dress. All the images above are from Jenean's display at the last Quilt Market where she also received an award for creativity...duh!
Die wünderschöne Stoffe die oben zu sehen sind , sind aus der neuester Kollektion von Jenean Morrison für Free Spirit, "Wild World". Ich liebe Farbkombinationen die etwas ungewöhnlich sind und ich finde wie Jenean Morrison Farben kombiniert schon sehr eigenwillig. Jenean schreibt auch ein super schönen Blog, visuell sehr inspirierend! Dort findet man viele Ideen wie die Stoffe angewendet werden können...das Fahrrad oder die Gitarre überziehen, daraus eine Lampe verzaubern oder auch ein hübschen Kleid nähen. Alle Fotos die hier zu sehen sind, sind von Jenean's Blog, und die sind Fotos von ihre letzte Quilt Market Stand wo sie auch ein Preis für Kreativität bekommen hat...was nicht sehr überraschend ist, oder?

Barcomi's is a Berlin institution run by Cynthia Barcomi. She opened her first cafe offering her own roasted coffee in Kreuzberg in 1994.
In 1997 she opened the Barcomi Deli in the Sophie-Gips-Höfe and on Dec. 1, 2010 she expanded the Deli. I was there yesterday afternoon with my daughter and it really is a great place to stop and have a coffee if you are in the Hackesher Markt area. It is an amazing space. She also has an online shop and she writes cookbooks and......
Barcomis ist ein Berliner Institution. In 1994 hat Cynthia Barcomi ihre erste Cafe und Kaffeerösterei in Kreuzberg eröffnet. In 1997 hat sie eine zweite Filiale eröffnet, Barcomis Deli. Dec. 1, 2010 hat sie das Deli vergrößert und jetzt ist das Deli echt toll. Die Räumlichkeiten sind super schön. Ein nette Ort ein Kaffee zu trinken in Berlin Mitte. Ich war gestern nachmittag mit meine Tochter da und fand ich es angenehm. Cynthia schreibt auch ein Blog und da habe ich ein Rezept auf deutsch für Birthday Cupcakes gefunden.....
