amy butler: wallflower mustard
Some luscious new fabrics have arrived! A reorder of the Wallflower print from Amy Butler's Lotus collection in cherry, and new to volksfaden, in mustard. This print is one of my favs. ( Yes there is a price difference, Amy Butler has gone up in her prices.)
The butterfly print is one of the first Japanese fabrics from Kona Bay to arrive. I have it in two colorways, gold and red.
Some gorgeous fabrics from Erin Michael's "Loft 1800" collection. I Love the colors she has chosen for these prints!
So go take a peek and let those creative juices start to flow.......

Joel Dewberry

thefunkybaglady
jennalou
gocksfrocks
willarie

I took a look around the web to see what creations are being made with fabrics from Joel Dewberry. Here are some of my finds, from different etsy shops and from Mr. Dewberry's website. I really like the children's clothing I saw on etsy and never would have thought of using the fabric this way myself. Loved this "golden dress" from willarie and this fairy tale frock from gocksfrocks.
Here is also a sweet wristlet from jennalou and a tote from the funkybaglady. The bracelets were seen on Joel Dewberry's site as were the pillows.
If any of you out there have something you have made with Dewberry fabric, I would love to see it and share it! How about a little show and tell!

ddr design

I found a really interesting site this morning about industrial design in the former German Democratic Republic, industrieform It has a great photo archive. Günter Höhne, a Berlin historian has taken and compiled the photos and text for this design archive. The text is in German but if you click on "Bild Archiv" you can browse through his photos. There are so many different categories from graphic design to household appliances. All of the photos here are from Gunter Höhne's industrieform .

It is a rather gray and dreary holiday here in Berlin..so if you are tired of looking out your window and could use a dose of color then go here! This is an amazingly colorful design, furniture and accessories atelier in Porto, Portugal run by an artistic couple, Graca Paz and her husband Francisco. They build, design and custom paint their own furniture. The images in this post are all from atelierxt, photos of their atelier, accessories and beautifully painted wooden frames.(really love those frames!!!!) So if you are craving color, then go on getoutta here and go here.

herzensart

photos: herzensart viking, angel, hippiebus
herzensart is a temporary online home for some very sweet softies who are probably looking for a permanent home. herzensart is full of lovely soft art creations by a very talented woman named Sandra Monat. Two of her designs were published in the Australian book "softies" and her vikings have infiltrated the USA! And for the Germans out there, guess what... she is a homey....she lives near Cologne! She does also seem to have a partner or shall we call her a muse? She seems to be blue and has four legs.... if you want to find out what that is all about, you will have to go to herzensart and find out...I am not telling!
