Caitlin Klooger is a landscape architect, interior designer, textile designer and mom!
She designs her fabric under the label "pippijoe". Her unique textile designs are hand printed on 55% hemp und 45% organic cotton fabric and could be used to make fabulous pillows, bags or numerous other homeware accessories. Being an independent designer, not hooked up with a major manufacturer, her designs are printed in limited quantities. So not only will you be making an eco-friendly product, you can be fairly certain that not every Tom, Dick and Harry will have a bag just like yours! These fabrics can be found by volksfaden here.

Ulrike of violetta textiles and I worked together to create a new summer dress exclusively for volksfaden. The dress comes in three different sizes and four different colorways at the moment, and is made using fabrics from several of the volksfaden collections. You can see the new summer dresses here.

denyse schmidt

A new pattern has been added to our pattern selection at volksfaden, Denyse Schmidt's "Single Girl" quilt pattern. Denyse Schmidt is a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design and one of the most talented and hippest quilters ever. She designs quilts, fabric, paper goods and has written a wonderful book full of great quilting projects called "Quilts". I love her "Single Girl" design which is a new take on the tradtional Double Wedding Ring quilt.
This pattern includes easy to use instructions in English, patterns and quilting template to make your own quilt in baby, twin, queen or king size, and a pillow sham.

Sandra of herzensart has once again been up to some fierce and noble creating! I present to you Odo of Saint-Amand and Bernhard of Tremelay,knights templar, known for their purity of heart and fearlessness! She has also added a most useful object to her wondrous collection, a viking ax rattle for your dear little vikings.
I also wanted to share these very sweet bird softies from spool that I found via pippijoe. Using these birds they made a lovely bird mobile. Wouldn't this be a lovely addition to a child's room or a screened in porch? The pattern can be found here
