Am finally getting around to uploading the new echino fabrics! Etsuko Furuya is one of my faves and I hope you will enjoy her new fabrics as much as I do! Here are the first three fabrics, more coming soon......
I actually did make it to the Stephan Hann "Couture remixed" exhibit here in Berlin at the Kunstgewerbemuseum and I highly recommend going if are in or around Berlin before March 1, when the exhibit ends. Some of these objects are amazingly beautiful and they all would make stunning theater costumes. I loved the architectural building plans that he folded into fine pleats to make gossamer wings that would make a fabulous costume for Titania from Midsummers Night Dream. So, go if you get a chance.
Just got in some new patterns from Meghan McElwee who has her own company called "Sew Liberated". Cute reversible apron, mom and daughter apron, a baby carrier and a reading pillow. They can be found under Patterns by Volksfaden.
We used to have a Paint By Number deer painting hanging in our hallway that my grandpa had done, so....when I saw Erin Michael's new collection "Lush" I knew I had to have it. I had ordered several more fabrics from this collection but I am afraid that some of the original designs haven't even been printed! I guess people in the States just didn't know what to make of this so they ordered cautiously. Go figure.
