ogchemises

Ludo Meyers sent me a link to his blog, ogchemises where he displays his collection of exquisitely tailored men's shirts. By choosing the fabrics discerningly and giving utmost attention to the creation of the product, their wish is to instill a soul and poetry into the piece of clothing. The shirts are made by talented artisans in France and Belgium. Really lovely.
The shirts can be ordered by sending Ludo an email. The blog is in French but Ludo speaks flawless English so if you would like to know more about him and his collection and you don't speak French , you can always drop him a line at ogchemises@gmail.com.

make it perfect

Several new "Make it Perfect" patterns are in now at volksfaden. These patterns are designed by Toni Coward who lives down under, by the beach in Tasmania, Australia. (Sigh)Her patterns are easy enough for a beginner but the results are pretty and professional. One of the new patterns has an art smock, pencil roll and library bag, all very useful items for next September! Am also loving this Kaftan, and hope some day soon it will be possible to wear something like this without a wool sweater over it.......

MoMo Freebird

Fabrics from MoMo's newest collection "Freebird" have just been unpacked. The main print is brimming with butterflies, dots and birds (as you can see above) and the other print we have in now, is a retro floral in three different colorways. You can see the two prints in the different colorways online now at volksfaden.

And last but not least, new buttons from repeatstudio have arrived all the way form Ontario, Canada. These cloth buttons are printed on hemp/organic cotton fabric with solvent free ink.

Black & White

For the Black & White lovers out there, we have a few new black & whites prints to be found in the Black & White category by volksfaden....

Jillian Phillips

Cute fabrics from UK designer Jillian Phillips have also been put online this weekend. (They can be found in the "Hoffman Fabrics" category) Most of the fabrics are suitable for little guys as well as little gals...I do try and keep an eye open for fabric suitable for boys clothing, so I was happy to find these animal and robot prints from Phillips for Hoffman fabrics.

Cloud9 Beyond the Sea

New GOTS certified organic cottons from Cloud9 are now on the virtual shelves at volksfaden. These are fabrics from their second collection, "Beyond the Sea". I like the fact that the color scheme from the first collection "My Happy Garden" has been carried through on into this collection, so they can be happily combined! Their next collection is already in the works and debuts this weekend at the Quilt Market in Minneapolis.
