The kids clothes pictured above are some of the samples I made for our organic cotton info evening...the fabrics used can be found in the volksfaden organic category or in the category Aura Herbal. I don't often find the time to sew so I did really enjoy taking the time to actually make something out of these fabrics! This was the first of what I hope will be many organic cotton info evenings with lebenskleidung, revoluzzza and siebenblau .....

CharLe is the name of Mandy Geddert's Berlin based children's clothing company. With Charle Mandy has created an ethical childrenswear fashion label, she uses exclusively organic cotton and recycled fabrics and her clothing is produced locally. I was delighted to meet Mandy last night and see some of her lovely children's clothing at our Organic Cotton Info evening. I love the little Amish boy look....the images above are from Mandy's website, there you can browse through her online catalogue.

On Thursday August 26, 2010 Lebenskleidung, RevoluzZza, Common Works, Siebenblau and Volksfaden cordially invite all of you who might be interested in finding out more about organic cotton fabrics to come and spend the evening with us at the Kunstfabrik am Flutgraben, Flutgraben 3, 12435 Berlin. Doors open at 18:00 and starting at 19:00 we will have three different speakers to tell you a little about the production process of organic cotton fabric, the differences in conventionally produced cotton and organically grown cotton fabrics and a little bit about the growing interest in organic cotton fabrics in the world of fashion. There will also be a question and answer session in case you still have questions that weren't answered. We also will have alot of sewn inspiration for you, designers who have designed and sewn clothing just for this event will be displayed, organic cotton fabric up for the buying and much more...Hope to see you there!
