matroschka hand puppets

About a month ago Kate Northcott, an art teacher from the Münich International School, contacted me. She was looking for some fabric scraps to use in an art project with her her 5 & 6 year olds. I sent her off a box of scraps and yesterday she sent me some photos of their project. In her own words:

"We have used your wonderful fabrics with our 5 and 6 year olds to make Matryoshka hand puppets. (120 of them!)
We cut cardboard templates of the shapes needed and the kids traced around and cut them out. We used glue to put them together, older students could sew them.
I sewed the backs on for them using a sewing machine.
They LOVED this project and your fantastic fabrics."

Vor Weihnachten habe ich ein Mail von Kate Northcott, eine Kunsterzieherin an die Münich International School, bekommen. Sie suchte nach Stofffreste für ein Kunstprojekt die sie mit Ihre 5 & 6 jährigen Künstler machen wollte. Gestern habe ich Fotos bekommen von die fertigen Kunstwerken. Sie haben Matroschka Handpuppen (120 Stück!) gemacht. Die kleine Kinder haben die Puppen zusammen geklebt und Kate hat die Rückteil drangenäht.
