Chris Chun is an award winning designer & artist from Australia who has had over 12 years experience working in textiles in the UK, Italy and Australia. His designs include fashion, bedlinen, soft furnishings and homewares and they can be found in stores all over the world. Here are fabrics from his first collection for Clothworks, "Le jardin de Papillon" now online. I especially like the warm color palette in this collection.
Chris Chun ist ein preisgekrönter Designer und Künstler aus Australien, der seit 12 Jahre in der Textilbranche in Großbritannien, Italien und Australien arbeitet. Er entwürft Mode, Bettwäsche, Heimtextilien und Haushaltswaren. Hier sind Stoffe aus seiner ersten Kollektion für Clothworks "Le jardin de Papillon" jetzt online. Besonders gut gefällt mir die warme Farbpalette in dieser Kollektion.

Pictured above are fabrics from Ingrid Slyder's fabric collection "Robotics" for Moda. Ingrid is a best-selling designer and award-winning author/illustrator.She's been drawing and sculpting since she was a child. Her children's picture book, "The Fabulous Flying Fandinis," received the top prize from the association for children's librarians and teachers, and was a selection of the Junior Library Guild. She has now done three collections for Moda and I am sure many more will be coming.
Hier sind neue Stoffe von Ingrid Slyders "Robotics" Kollektion für Moda. Ingrid ist sowohl eine Textildesignerin als auch ein Kinderbuchautorin. Ihre Kinderbuch "The Flying Fandinis"wurde mit mehrere Preise ausgezeichnet. "Robotics" ist ihre dritte Stoffkollektion für Moda.

I recently discovered the quilted textile constructions of Terry Jarrard Dimond and I think her work is absolutely stunning! I love her use of color and her bold, simple graphic shapes. I also just found out that the quilt exhibit curated by Nancy Crow "Color Improvisations" will be returning to Karlsruhe, Germany May 10,2011-June 12,2011 and then on to Münich in September. Terry Jarrard Dimond is an exhibiting artist in this exhibit along with several other contemporary quilt artists. If you are a fan of contemporary quilts I am sure that this is an exhibit that is not to be missed and I am definitely going to try and see it.
Neulich habe ich die Quilts von Terry Jarrard Dimond entdeckt und ich bin von ihre Arbeit total begeistert! Ich liebe ihre einfache grafische Kompositionen und ihre starke Farbkombinationen. Ich habe auch gerade erfahren dass sie teilnimmt an eine Austellung die man in Karlsruhe ab Mai und in München ab September besichtigen kann, "Color Improvisations". Ab nach Karlsruhe!

Dana Brooks "She-Da"

I haven't seen this combination very often so I thought it would be an interesting addition to our fabric selection, leopard prints combined with floral elements from Dana Brooks for Henry Glass. Diana liked it so much that she made a fun shopper before we even put it on the shelves.

Diese Kombination habe ich noch nicht so oft gesehen - Leopardenpunkte mit Blumen - Da habe ich mir gedacht, dass das eine interessante Ergänzung zu unserem Stoffangebot ist. Die Kollektion heißt "She-Da" entworfen von Dana Brooks für Henry Glass.
